FAQs

What sort of events do you play at?

We play at weddings, company parties hosted by major corporations, charity balls and all sorts of private events. Whatever the event, Charlie and the Funk Factory can provide the right music for the occasion!

 

How much do you normally charge?

Our prices will vary depending on the event, how long you would like us to play for and the location, so please get in touch using the form above to get a tailored quote for you.

How long do you typically play for?

We normally recommend 2 x 1 hour sets, but we are very flexible depending on your needs and can adapt on the night to suit your event. We can also provide a scaled down jazz or acoustic ensemble for background music at drinks receptions or during meals, in addition to the full band performance.

Do you perform requests?

We are more than happy to perform any requests you have (whatever the genre) with some prior warning. We have an extensive repertoire but cannot guarantee that any requests made on the night will be played so if you really want your favourite song played (even if it's 'Rockstar' by Nickelback...), simply let us know and we'd be more than happy to prepare this for you!

What if my party has a theme?

We are often asked if we can come dressed for a themed party and are always happy to oblige! Check out our gallery to see some photos of us from a recent 1920’s-themed Christmas party – we donned bow-ties and suspenders, and provided an extra set of Dixieland music before the main event.


1920’s not your thing? What about 70’s – we will bring our flares and come prepared with some extra CHIC and Stevie. Or 80’s, 90’s... whatever will fit with your theme!

Can you provide music for the guests when you aren't playing?

We have a dedicated playlist that we can play through our own speaker system during our breaks to keep your guests glued to the dancefloor.

How much space do you need?

We may be a 9-piece band but we are more used to squeezing into small spaces! A space 6m wide and 4m deep would be ideal for us, but we will always adapt to the venue to ensure you get the best musical experience possible.
